FAQ

What type of antibodies labeling do you offer?
Direct antigen-antibodies complexes detection requires the use of labeled antibodies. Starting with affinity-purified antibodies, we will covalently enzymes (HRP or AP), fluorescein, rhodamine or biotin and provide specific immunoreagents suitable for ELISAs, Western blots, and other immunoassay uses.

What kind of guarantee do you offer with my antibodies order?
Because we recognize that quality and reliability are central to our customers, we never let an antiserum go out unless it has a minimum good titer. Genosphere Biotechnologies offers this unique guarantee to our customers for anti-peptide antibodies as well as for anti-protein antibodies services provided sample requirements are fulfilled.

My protein antigen is not soluble, how should I send my sample?
Most reagents used for protein purification as solubilizing agents are toxic. We would require that you dialyze your protein against TRIS/NaCl or PBS buffer to remove any urea, imidazole, guanidine, etc. You may then lyophilize the resulting precipitate or send it as a precipitate. Protein concentrations should be at least 1mg/ml with 2-5 mg/ml being optimum.

I have synthesized my peptide already; can I send it to you for antibodies production?
Yes, it is an antigen-provided service offer. Please provide a minimum of 10 mg of your lyophilized peptide for KLH conjugation and contact us for a quote.

My protein antigen has an apparent MW of 10 kDa; can I send it to you for antibodies production?
Yes, we would require to conjugate your polypeptide to KLH. Please provide a minimum of 10 mg of your protein for KLH conjugation and contact us for a quote.

I have over-expressed my protein but cannot purify it; can you still raise antibodies for me?
You could run multiple lanes of a gel and cut out the bands of interest and send us gel-imbedded protein as sample. Please contact us for a quote. We could also purify the protein for you from a cell extract. Please contact us for details.
